IQOS User Guide
Operating Instructions for HEETS (Originals) and TEREA (ILUMA) Systems.
The IQOS system consists of a Holder (for the stick) and a Pocket Charger (to charge the Holder).
1. Basic Use Steps (All Models)

Charge the Pocket Charger
Before first use, ensure your Pocket Charger is fully charged. Use the provided USB-C cable and a power adapter. All indicator lights should be solid when complete.

Charge the Holder
Place the Holder inside the Pocket Charger. The Holder's light will pulse while charging and turn off or solid when ready for one use.

Insert and Heat
Insert the stick into the Holder, press the button until it vibrates, and wait for the light to turn solid. Inhale gently.
2. HEETS vs. TEREA (Key Differences)
⚠ IQOS ORIGINALS DUO (HEETS)
- Stick Type: HEETS
- Technology: Blade/Needle heating element inside the Holder.
- Insertion: Insert stick with the tobacco end down, pushing past the line to ensure contact with the blade.
- Cleaning: REQUIRED. The blade gets dirty. Use the cleaning tool frequently to remove residual tobacco.
★ IQOS ILUMA (TEREA)
- Stick Type: TEREA
- Technology: SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™. Heating occurs via a metal strip inside the TEREA stick.
- Insertion: Insert stick with the filter end up. The Holder detects the TEREA stick automatically to start heating.
- Cleaning: NOT REQUIRED. The ILUMA Holder has no blade, preventing residue buildup.
3. Operational Tips & Troubleshooting

Session Length:
A standard session lasts about 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first. The Holder will vibrate shortly before the session ends.

Removing Used HEETS:
After use, pull up the cap of the Holder, then gently remove the used HEETS stick. This prevents residue from sticking to the heating blade. (Not necessary for TEREA sticks).

Indicator Lights:
The small lights on the Holder and Pocket Charger indicate battery life. If the light flashes red or yellow, it usually indicates a malfunction (check for tobacco stuck in the device) or that the device needs to be charged.

CRITICAL: Stick Compatibility!
Do NOT use TEREA sticks in an IQOS ORIGINALS (blade) device, and do NOT use HEETS in an IQOS ILUMA (induction) device. Using the wrong stick can severely damage the Holder.
